If your network status within Windows reads as "Limited" or "No Connectivity" then try this:
Set a static IP: ip address of 192.168.1.50 subnet mask : 255.255.255.0 default gateawy : 192.168.1.1

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but what if the person is NOT using a router with the default subnet 192.168.1.x (i.e. straight connection from ISP's modem or something -- or using a Belkin router or Netgear gateway [192.168.0.1]
Usually limited or no connectivity is fixed by restarting the computer, power cycling the networking equipment or (worst case) replacing a bad NIC/WLAN card |
